Management

  Emmanuel Kelly Ojow

C.E.O

Emmanuel Kelly Ojow is the founder and the C.E.O of SoRYAfrica. His goal in the beginning was to form a group that would promote art and cultural exchange between refugees, Women and youths in vulnerable communities. He has been at the forefront of promoting peace, gender equality, Empowering girls and women through art and culture for more than 5years. He is passionate about ensuring youth and women are economically empowered through art and culture.

Ojow participates in the development of key national and international policies guidelines. He represents the organization at the national and international forums, conferences, technical working groups and advisory boards.

He had also served under Kenya YMCA Shaurimoyo branch as a volunteer on youth advocacy and community development programs for 10 years.

Angeline Adhiambo Owino

Human Resource Specialist

Angeline Owino is in charge of the human resource department in the organization

Angeline has over 10-year experience in Human Capital Management. She is responsible for recruiting, screening, interviewing and placing employees in the organization. Her core areas are talent management, labor and employee relations, policy writing and entrenchment, strategy implementation and organization design and development

She is passionate about molding and shaping young talent to become better at everything they do.

Winfrey Bosibori Abuga

Managing Director

She is a result-oriented Managing Director driven to manage costs and establish strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships and relationship with users, vendors, and service providers.

Adapt at creating strategic alliances with organization leaders to effectively align with and support key business initiatives. Excel at building and retaining high performance teams by developing and motivating skilled professionals.

Sirila Akinyi Othuon

Finance Specialist

Ms. Othuon is in charge of financial department of the organization.

She is a talented financial expert, skilled in managing diverse tasks and competing priorities on daily basis. Knowledgeable on managing files and schedules and eager to assist the organization improve operations. She oversees the financial operations of the organization and ensures timely and accurate financial reports are maintained.

She contributes communication, collaboration, and cash handling toward team efforts, organization’s sustainability and is responsible for budget planning.

Tessy Akoko

Tessie Akoko

Lead Programs Operations/Implementation

Tessie Akoko serves as the lead programs coordinator in the organization. She has over 5 years’ experience in community youth leadership and empowerment. She is passionate about the youth and advocating for health issues affecting girls and women in the community.

She is responsible for the supervision, organization of activities and resource mobilization in the organization. Miss Akoko also acts as the organization representative at national and international forums, conferences and technical working groups on matters to do with gender equality, women and girl child empowerment.

Josephat Omondi Ochieng

Assistance Program Coordinator 

Josephat  has over 10 years’ experience in community youth leadership and empowerment. Through his passion he has led different projects as a project manager sanctuary retreats and also served as assistant coordinator in various projects such as empowering the Masai woman community and international relationships between the Masai and outside community.

He is responsible for the supervision, organization of activities and resource mobilization in the organization at the branch level. Mr Omondi also acts as the organization representative at national and international forums, conferences and technical working groups on matters to do with gender equality, women, child rescue, boy/girl child empowerment and IDPs resettlement.

Tessy Akoko

Kelvin Onyango Ochieng

Director for Public Affairs

Mr. Ochieng is a certified secondary school teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Nairobi.
He is passionate for working with the youngest learners from vulnerable communities by helping each child progress in all areas of their academic and social development.

Ochieng is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and publicity campaigns of the organization,ensuring that the organization brand image remains consistent and positive while expanding it to a wider audience, mobilize resources and keep a positive relationship of the organization and the sponsor.
