COVID 19 has disrupted the way we live our daily, normal lives. Adjusting to the new normal has been abrupt for many of us. Due to sudden loss of jobs and closure  of business, everyone has had to change a number of things like how we put food on the table.

This past week, with the support from Safaricom Foundation, Society for Refugees and Youth in Africa (SoRYAfrica) was privileged to receive sponsorship funds for young and developing talents for Women and Youth.

On Tuesday 22nd December, SoRYAfrica organized for Christmas carols event held at Nairobi Cinema auditorium. We observed COVID 19 guidelines from WHO and the Ministry of Health, Kenya.

The event met its objectives by identifying, connecting, developing and creating a platform for 300 (three hundred) talented youth and women from vulnerable communities.

The aim is to empower them financially through their talent in order for them to be able to afford their basic commodities during this festive season of pandemic.
